Rationale
I believe one of the most important things most college students can do to improve their learning experience is to meet individually with faculty members. What’s more, these meetings provide opportunities for me to hear from you about what’s working and what’s not.
Nitty Gritty
During the month of October, I’m inviting each of you to meet with me outside of class. To make sure I am free when you want to stop by, please make an appointment.
Grading
First and foremost, this assignment is extra credit. If you choose to meet with me, you will receive 10 points of extra credit. If you choose not to meet with me, no worries!
Credits
This assignment was designed in 2018. It draws on conversations I’ve had with Taylor Halverson in BYU’s Center for Teaching and Learning, as well as many other colleagues over the years I’ve been teaching.
